About this poster : Poster created by French artist Pierre Bellenger in the 1950s for Berlingot de Carpente candies.

This translucent candy was created by His Holiness's cook in the 14th century under the pontificate of Clement V, the first pope of Avignon . Considered part of the culinary heritage of Provence in the same way as Aix calissons, berlingots have become the trademark of great confectioners.
