It was liquidated in 1931 and the shares went to the French state, which renamed the company “Air France” in 1933.

In Germany, the Lufthansa company was created in 1926 in Berlin, following the merger of two German companies: Deutsche Aero Lloyd and Junkers Luftverkehr. In the United States, the airlines PANAM and TWA were founded, in 1927 and 1930 respectively. Airplane manufacturers also appeared: Boeing was founded in 1916 in the United States. In France, the Société nationale des constructions aéronautiques du Sud-Oues was founded in 1936 (this later became Sud Aviation then Airbus ).
